school started today. i was pathetic. I woke up at 6:30 after not having slept much due to nerves waking me up every hour.. and the dog puking in the bed, which my WONDERFUL husband cleaned up.... anyway, i woke up and nobody else was up yet and i was doing ok. but the closer it got for me to leave the more shook up i became. i got jaron up about 10 min before i was supposed to leave becuase i was tired of being alone and then i couldn't stop crying. i got to school, cried on the phone as i was walking in to my mom, and then i was ok once class started. today wasn't so bad. i was looking for reasons to be positive. all day. i want to be more positive becuase i have had the worst attitude. so positive things about this semester: 1.the schedule is not what i thought it would be. it will be hard. and it will be a ton of work. it will not be impossible. 2. winter will melt into spring and i LOVE spring. every new season that comes every year i say "this is my favorite season! i love christmas!!" or "fall is so pretty and you can start wearing hats and mittens and scarves and.. BURNT ORANGE!!....." or " summer is the best!! swimming, sun, warmth, sundresses, green and ususally no school" but every time spring rolls around i get this happy feeling. ahhhh spring. i'd have to say so far spring of 2008 has been the overall best spring ever. I moved to a new town, met new friends and my life was completely different from anything i had ever had. I loved spring of 2008. School was ridiculously hard but i think i have selective memory when i think about days gone by and i tend to only remember the good, which is funny becuase i worry so much and think about what is wrong so much that you'd think that would be all i remember, but it isn't. I mostly only remember the good. like and meeting lindsay and sharon (above, at one of our fires in the back yard)and the whole rogers family.girls bible study on tuesday nights in what is now my living room with the windows down and being more independent than ever. starting to go to a wonderful church. getting involved with a wonderful choir and college ministry. caving.(after caving to the right). movies.(jaron and dave goofing of at the movie jaron asked me to go on a date with him to, that i turned him down to go to, and that the got a group of people to go so that i would come and so that he could still pay for my ticket..) playing at the park like 6 yr olds with a bunch of people older than me.. fires in lindsay and jaron's back yard(which i wouldn't have believed you if you told me in a little over a year would be my back yard)... suprise party for lindsays 23rd birthday...and yeah. it was so much fun. a smell that reminds me of this time of my life is japanese cherry blossom. If anyone knows lindsay rogers, they know that she goes through about a bottle of body spray a week, and i'm pretty sure she went through several of those that spring :) Anyways, i love spring. i love that the grass gets green and the temperatures get warmer. i love that first day when you can turn of the heat and open up the windows and smell your first smell of fresh spring air for months. i love it. so, that is my positive note for today and some for the semester. I LOVE SPRING!.....and it is coming........ just a couple more months!!!!

Well, school starts next Monday and I am not looking forward to it. I wish I could hide in my in-laws suitcases when they leave to go to Nicaragua to be a missionary now. But since I can't do that and I still have a few short days left, I'm trying to make the best of them. This Christmas break has been an amazing blessing. I have been able to spend so much time with my family! Here is a picture of all of my family members in one room. I loved it. we had so much fun. My family from St. Joseph came down and stayed at our house and Jarons parents and sister were also here so we had everyone. They were here to celebrate my birthday and New Years! Here is my with my sparkling grape juice.. we got wild! hahaha I loved that our parents got to spend time together getting to know each other and they have a good time together which is a huge plus! As I said in the last post, Jaron and I went up to St. Joseph and it was really snowy! It snowed 12 or more inches and drifted majorly so in some places, it was almost as tall as me! It hadn't snowed at all in Springfield, the good news was, Jaron and I brought it with us. And Jack loves it! He was so cute romping in it. It is supposed to snow tonight and then tomorrow is a big day in the Rogers home. Texas is playing Alabama in the National Championship. I'm not really a sports person, but I married into something and I have to care :). The whole family LOVES the Texas Longhorns. So I have to love them too ;) so there is a picture of Jaron and me wearing one of our Christmas gifts from his parents.

New Year

Well, I'm 21 now! wooo hoo! haha. Christmas was fun. Jaron and I traveled to St. Joseph to spend Christmas with my parents. That was fun, minus the fact that Sarge (my family's yorkie) hated Jack... A few days later my parents came down to Springfield and spent a few days with Jaron and I and my in-laws. We had a blast. I'm so glad we had that time together. Today, I'm home alone. I think Jaron is taking me on a date which should be fun. I'll be glad to spend some time with him!!
